Blue Drop Water Service Set To End Permanently September 12

HOLBROOK — An emergency alert on the town's website is notifying residents that Blue Drop Services will end permanently on September 12, 2026, giving Holbrook households roughly two and a half weeks to prepare for the change.

TOWN HALL

The Town of Holbrook is flagging the end of Blue Drop Services as an emergency alert on its homepage, the most prominent notice currently posted for residents. The town's posting does not spell out the reasons behind the shutdown or what alternative arrangements, if any, residents need to make, but the September 12 date is firm.

Separately, the town's water storage tank cleaning and inspection work, announced earlier this week, remains underway, part of ongoing maintenance to the municipal water system.

COMING UP

The Conservation Commission is scheduled to meet Monday, August 31.
