HOLBROOK — The Holbrook Council on Aging unanimously added a citizen concerns line item to its monthly agenda following complaints voiced on social media and to board members. Treasurer Marion (Missy) Rapoza reported the union position removal reduced the budget by $59,129.66; Director Holly Rose requested approval to increase an employee's hours to 22 per week to provide full-time phone coverage. The board voted unanimously to remove the Helpsy clothing bin from the parking lot, which generated revenue of $40 per ton but consumed parking space.
Rose noted the floor capital project was approved for completion within months, with the roof request deferred to fiscal 2027.
