Holbrook Blue Drop Service to End Permanently in September

Holbrook officials posted an emergency alert on the town website Wednesday announcing that the town's Blue Drop service will end permanently on September 12, 2026. The same day, Town Hall also announced a new pop-up food pantry for veterans.

TOWN HALL

The Blue Drop service shutdown was significant enough that the town flagged it as an emergency alert on its homepage, giving residents roughly a month's notice before the September 12 cutoff. The News Flash announcement did not detail a replacement service or further instructions beyond the date itself.

Town Hall separately announced a pop-up food pantry for veterans, posted the same afternoon. Details on date, time, and location were not included in the News Flash summary.

COMING UP

The Town Forest Committee meets Thursday, August 13. The Town Clerk's Office has an item on the town calendar for Tuesday, August 18, and the Holbrook Housing Authority meets Wednesday, August 19.
