Holbrook to End Blue Drop Services Permanently on Sept. 12

HOLBROOK — Holbrook officials are alerting residents that Blue Drop Services will end permanently on September 12, 2026, an announcement posted as an emergency alert on the town's website this week. The shutdown comes as the town also opens early voting for the September 1 State Primary and continues to update residents on PFAS water testing.

The town's most prominent notice this week is the emergency alert announcing that Blue Drop Services will end permanently on September 12, 2026. The town has not posted additional detail beyond the date, and residents are directed to the town website for further instructions as the deadline approaches.

Separately, the town posted a PFAS testing update for Holbrook water customers, following the Randolph/Holbrook Joint Water Board's July startup of the new tri-town water treatment plant. Election officials also posted logistics for the September 1 State Primary, including in-person early voting sessions at Town Hall this month, and the Town Clerk's Office is scheduled to test ballot machines ahead of the primary.
