HOLBROOK — Select Board unanimously appoints Cavagnaro to Conservation Commission and approves DPW hire with family ties. Mary Cavagnaro, introduced by Conservation Committee Chair Fred White, completed ethics training and bylaws review; the board voted 5-0 for her appointment. Jake Baxter was voted 5-0 for Grade 1 laborer/driver status, despite being the brother of Jesse Baxter and son of Billy Baxter, both current DPW employees; Superintendent McCue assured the board ethics policies were considered.
The board also unanimously approved seven liquor licenses and four Common Victualler licenses contingent on documentation and payment deadlines, voted 5-0 to deny an Auto Dealer Class II license for a closed business, and directed inspections and owner meetings for auto dealers with overcrowding violations.
