Tri-Town Water Board Announces New Treatment Plant Startup

HOLBROOK — The Randolph/Holbrook Joint Water Board announced the startup of a new tri-town water treatment plant, a joint infrastructure project between Holbrook and Randolph, according to a town announcement posted this month.

TOWN HALL The Joint Water Board's announcement of the new treatment plant's startup marks the completion of a shared regional infrastructure project serving both communities' water supply. Town Hall did not provide further operational details in the announcement.

Separately, the town is recruiting for several open positions: a Principal Clerk in the Assessor's Office, and two part-time roles at the Council on Aging — an Activities Coordinator and an Alternate Principal Clerk. All three postings are open on the town's employment page.

The town also flagged a statewide air-quality advisory: smoke from Canadian wildfires is affecting air quality across Massachusetts, and the town pointed residents to state resources for current conditions. And the Department of Public Works has relocated the yard-waste dumpsters to a more secure location at the bottom of the hill, part of an ongoing site-security effort at the drop-off area.

COMING UP The Board of Library Trustees and the Conservation Commission both meet Monday, July 20. The Tri Town Board of Water Commissioners meets Tuesday, July 21, alongside two Blue Hills Regional-related sessions — a BHR District School Committee ad-hoc Zoom meeting and a BHR Evaluation Subcommittee meeting.
